How to move notebooks around in Memo - and into and between folders.

Moving a notebook into a different folder is easy—just follow these steps:

## Step-by-step

### Move one notebook

1.  Open the **Dashboard**.

2.  Find the notebook you want to move.

3.  Open the notebook’s menu.

4.  Choose **Move to folder**.

5.  Pick the destination folder.

6.  Confirm the move.

### Move several notebooks at once

1.  Open the **Dashboard**.

2.  Select the notebooks you want to move.

3.  Use the bulk move action.

4.  Choose the destination folder.

5.  Confirm the move.

### Drag-and-drop on desktop

On desktop, you can also drag a notebook onto a folder to move it.

## Related folder behavior

Memo also supports moving folders. On desktop, drag-and-drop is available there too.

## Important notes

- Bulk move is useful when you are reorganizing many notebooks at once.

- Drag-and-drop is a desktop-oriented workflow.

- If you do not want to drag, the move dialog is still available.
