# Flashcard Display Settings and Exports

How display preferences affect review cards and exported files.

Flashcard display settings control what extra context appears on cards in Memo and in some export formats.

## Where to find it

Open **Settings → Flashcard Display**.

## Common options

- **Notebook name**: show the notebook name on flashcards.

- **Page/source reference**: show where a card came from when available.

- **Tags**: show tags attached to the card.

- **Image reference**: include source screenshots or images when available and enabled.

- **Image quality**: controls export/display quality for image references.

- **Text alignment**: choose how card text is aligned.

## How this affects exports

When you export flashcards, these settings can affect optional metadata such as notebook context, page references, tags, and image references. If an export is missing optional context, check these settings and export again.

## Sharper reference images in Anki and RemNote

The default PDF reference-image quality is **2×**. Existing settings below 2× have been upgraded; higher-quality settings are preserved.

Open **Settings → Flashcard Display → Image Reference Scale & Quality** to choose a quality setting. Higher quality creates larger images and can take longer to export. These settings apply to PDF source images included in supported Anki and RemNote exports.

Download a new export after changing the setting. Files already imported into Anki or RemNote are not changed automatically. Increasing the render scale cannot restore detail that is missing from an original low-resolution source image.

## Important notes

- Display settings do not change the core question and answer content of a card.

- Page or image references depend on the source data available for that card.

- Some changes affect future exports rather than already-downloaded files.
