# Managing Studio Runs and History

Studio keeps a history of generated outputs so you can reopen, rename, delete,
or stop them when needed.

## What appears during generation

When you start a Studio run, Memo immediately adds a generating item to Studio.

That lets you:

- see that the run has started

- track it in Studio history

- abort it if you no longer want it

## What happens after completion

Completed items stay in Studio history, grouped by output type.

From there you can usually:

- open the output

- rename it

- delete it

- download it if that output type supports export

## Aborting a run

If a Studio item is still generating, use the item’s **Abort** action to stop it.

This is useful when:

- you picked the wrong sources

- you changed your mind about the output

- you want to restart with different settings

## Renaming and deleting

After a run finishes, you can keep your Studio history organized by renaming or deleting older outputs.

This is especially useful if you generate several versions of the same notes, flashcards, or infographic from one notebook.

## Important notes

- Studio history is organized by output type.

- Some legacy outputs can behave a little differently from current Studio outputs.

- Export options only appear for output types that support file download.

### If I abort a run, does it stay in history?

The generating item is removed when the abort completes.

### Can I keep more than one version of the same output type?

Yes. Studio history is meant to support multiple generated items for the same notebook.

### Can I rename a finished output?

Yes. Completed outputs can be renamed from Studio history.
