Open Settings → Usage. The remaining percentage tells you how much energy is still available. For example, 97% remaining means most of your energy is still available; it does not mean you have used 97%.
Memo uses a shared energy balance for supported AI actions in Memo Agent and Studio, such as generating flashcards, notes, practice tests, podcasts, tracks, mind maps and infographics. Different actions and models can use different amounts.
Adding or uploading a source does not itself consume energy. Using AI to create study materials from that source can consume energy.
Settings → Usage shows your balance, reset timing and the action/model pricing guide. For your plan and billing details, use Settings → Subscription.
Energy resets monthly on Free and paid plans. Follow the reset date shown in Settings → Usage. A subscription renewal date and an energy reset date describe different things; annual billing does not mean you wait a year for an energy reset.
Check the remaining balance and reset date in Settings → Usage.
Note the action you were using, the selected Memo Agent mode or model, and the exact error message.
Refresh Memo once and check that you are signed in to the expected account.
If the message still conflicts with your balance or plan, contact support with a screenshot, the approximate time and the affected notebook or run.
A contradictory message needs investigation. It does not by itself show that your energy is exhausted or that you need another subscription.
Contact support with the notebook or output name, approximate time, error and a screenshot of Usage. Include what you already tried. Support can investigate the run and usage record; avoid repeatedly regenerating the same material while the issue continues.
